Young Beum (Ryan) Cho, M.S.

Computational Associate I

As a Computational Associate, my primary focus is on implementing and expanding computational pipelines, specifically utilizing the Terra cloud platform to execute large-scale morphological feature extraction workflows for high-content imaging experiments. I oversee the data lifecycle by cellprofiler pipeline engineering, and then manage initial data preprocessing and conduct quality control on these datasets. Following this, I perform statistical analyses,  ultimately translating results into summarized spreadsheets and figures. To maintain an organized computational toolbox, I manage code repositories using GitHub. I also assist with ad hoc miscellaneous tasks, including structural organization and maintenance of large-scale research data on internal servers. Furthermore, I manage the lab's GPU server and develop and maintain a full-stack web application, ensuring the seamless integration of databases, user interfaces on the frontend, and backend analytical scripts. Finally, I provide flexible, ad hoc computational support across the lab, adapting to various data processing and analysis tasks to drive scientific projects forward and expand the lab’s technical resources and capabilities.
