Sanchari Datta, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Associate
Sanchari obtained her Ph.D. from UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas in Cell and Molecular Biology, where she studied spatial organization of lipid metabolism at inter-organelle membrane contact sites. Following that, she studied intracellular mitochondrial lipid trafficking mechanisms as a postdoc at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, Missouri. Sanchari joined the Claussnitzer lab in May 2023, where she is working on natural genetic variation screens and compound screens using primarily high-content imaging with a focus on defining genetically anchored cellular functions in adipocytes underlying metabolic diseases.
Sanchari enjoys exploring new places, hiking, and trying out new restaurants and cuisines.
