Phil graduated with a M.Sc. in Nutritional Science from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. His passion for V2F studies and adipocyte biology sparked during an international workshop Melina organized at his home institution, followed by an experimental master thesis in the Claussnitzer Lab. In his PhD project, he studies stimulation response in adipocytes in the context of metabolic disease using a multi-omic approach.

Outside the lab, Phil is a passionate rock climber, Latin dancer and photographer.
