Megan Waldichuk, B.S.

Research Associate I

Megan Waldichuk is originally from San Diego, CA, and earned a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology with a focus on genetics and genomics, as well as a B.S. in Genetics and Plant Biology with a concentration in biotechnology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Megan is working to understand the genetic regulatory elements that control adipocyte differentiation using CRISPR-based genetic screens. With a deeper understanding of adipocyte biology, her goal is to connect genetic variations to the development of metabolic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes and obesity.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys surfing, going to concerts, going on fun walks, and traveling.
